Rhythm & Rhyme Fun!

Mixing Jazz and Poetry was hip back in the 1950s - a product of the "beat generation" in America and on the Left Bank of Paris. A very British equivalent will appear on the Thames bank, at the Kenton Theatre, when Reedy Fusion returns to stage Henley's version with local personalities delivering verse or worse. On 28th January professional actors Tom and John Yeates lead a cast of local thespians reading works from Shakespeare to Spike Milligan while John Pumfrey's band plays sax'n'rhythm classics in all styles.

The Yeates family have been active in the Kenton for over fifty years and the Reedy Fusion musicians have been playing in the area for almost as long. The evening starts at 6.30pm providing a cocktail of entertainment and allowing time to eat in town after the show. The performers are giving their time and talents for Kenton for Keeps.

Strada in Henley-on-Thames are offering 20% off your food bill when the Rhythm & Rhyme programme is presented on 28th January 2012. Valid for up to six people per table.

Rhythm & Rhyme runs for one night only at the Kenton Theatre, Henley Saturday 28th January 6.30pm and tickets can be purchased from www.kentontheatre.co.uk or 01491 575698
