THE KENTON THEATRE BICENTENARY

Humble Boy

The Henley Players at The Kenton Theatre, Tuesday 11 October to Saturday 15 October

by Charlotte Jones, by kind permission of Samuel French Ltd. Humble Boy premiered at the Royal National Theatre in 2001, where it won many awards including the People's Choice Best New Play Award 2002 and The Critics' Choice.
This is a rare chance to see the first performance at THE KENTON THEATRE of a newly-released play by this acclaimed young writer, who must have a glittering career ahead of her.  Bumbling Felix Humble is a postgraduate astrophysics student, with his head firmly in outer space. When he returns to his home in the Cotswolds for his father's funeral he discovers some shocking truths about his family's chaotic past. This stinging comedy is full of bizarre jokes, delightful surprises and a touch of melancholy.
Director: Jill Richardson
