I am so pleased and proud to be involved with this
celebration of our lovely old theatre. It has a special place in my
heart. I was part of one of the last professional rep. companies
that played here in the 1960s and since then, as a member of the
audience, it has given me some wonderful evenings.
It's a beautiful building with a
marvellous warm atmosphere and echoes of bygone glories. I am sure
you share with me the feeling of sadness at its need for a little
'tlc'. I know there are many calls on our sympathy and our purses
these days but it would be lovely if we could mark the bicentenary
by giving The Kenton a bit of a make over.
